Methodology |

-
The characteristic training methodology of SENATI is “to learn hands-on the work“ in actual productive conditions. The training in manufacturing processes and operations is achieved mainly through the “Dual System SENATI-Industry” which combines classroom and shop training in our Operative Units with intensive “hands-on” practical training, in actual industries.
-
There are near 8 600 companies that, national wide, participate in this Dual Learning System lead by SENATI.

Origins of the Institution |
|
| |
-
Motivated by the fact that professional training and technical traditional instruction did not grant the level of instruction required by modern manufacturing processes, the entrepreneurs members of the National Society of Industries decided in 1960, to promote the creation of an institution destined specifically to develop human skills for a competent performance of the industrial manufacturing activity and for the labours of installation, reparation and maintenance. For financing the expenses of such institution, they prevailed themselves with a monthly economic contribution. In attention to this will, SENATI was created in 19 December 1961, by Law Nº 13771.

- Resources
-
SENATI finances its activities with the following resources:
- The economic contribution that companies monthly supply for more than 20 workers, with respect to the personnel dedicated to the manufacturing activities and to the labours of installation, reparation and maintenance. The amount of the contribution is equivalent to 0.75% of the total of the salaries and wages the companies pay to their workers. The companies who contribute with SENATI have the right to send their technicians for training and instruction free of charge for tuition rights, consequently enabling their workers to improve as professionals and as individuals.
- The resources generated by the fees charged for tuition, and for services of training and technical instruction.
- The resources provided by National and International Technical Cooperation.
